Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Mezaic (“the Service”), operated by Mezaic (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Mezaic lets you publish a personal or professional website (profile, links, blog, updates, work) on a free subdomain of mezaic.me or on your own domain, and gives you a portal to manage it. We may change, add or remove features over time; material reductions of paid features will be announced in advance.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old and provide a valid email address, which you confirm with a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. One person or organisation may hold one account; you may run several websites under it, each on its own plan.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the text, images and other content you publish (“Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example to resize images) and display your Content solely to operate, back up and improve the Service. You are responsible for your Content and for having the rights to publish it. You can export your Content at any time and delete it by deleting the website or your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to: publish unlawful, defamatory, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit or deceptive material; impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation; distribute malware, phishing pages or spam; scrape, overload or interfere with the Service or other users’ sites; or circumvent plan limits, security or billing. Custom header and footer scripts must not deliver malware, hidden mining, unauthorised tracking or content that violates these terms. We may remove Content, suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, at our discretion, and will notify you where reasonably possible.
5. Site addresses and custom domains
Subdomains are allocated first come, first served, subject to a reserved-word list. We may reclaim a subdomain that infringes rights, impersonates a person or brand, or has been inactive for a long period, giving notice where possible. Custom domains remain yours; you are responsible for their registration and DNS. Certificates for custom domains are issued automatically once your domain points to the Service.
6. Plans, payment and trials
Free plans are provided as described on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed per website, in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled. Purchases are processed by Stripe, Inc.; where Stripe acts as merchant of record, Stripe’s terms also apply and Stripe collects any applicable tax and issues receipts. Prices shown exclude tax unless stated. A free trial, when offered, is available once per account; at the end of the trial the plan is charged unless you cancel first.
You can cancel at any time from your billing page; paid features stay active until the end of the period already paid for. Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable, but we will refund charges made in error. If a payment fails, we retry and notify you; after a grace period the website reverts to the free plan and is suspended until it fits that plan’s limits or a payment succeeds.
7. Availability, backups and data
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We keep backups of the platform; plan-dependent site backups and exports are provided as described in the Service. Exports are available for a limited time after they are generated. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of Content you cannot afford to lose.
8. Termination
You may delete your websites or account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account for breach of these terms, for legal reasons, or if the Service is discontinued (with at least 30 days’ notice in that case, and the ability to export your Content). On termination your Content is deleted within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of profits, data or goodwill, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for consumers.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the portal at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
