Contact form, vCard and inbox

Let visitors write to you without exposing your email, offer a downloadable contact card, and handle messages in the portal.

Your site has a Contact button in the header. What it does depends on two settings.

The contact button

  1. Open Website → Settings and set your Contact email. Leaving it empty hides the button.
  2. With Contact form off, the button is a simple email link (mailto:), so visitors see your address.
  3. With Contact form on, the button opens a form on your site. Your address stays hidden until you reply.

The contact form and inbox

Messages sent through the form are stored and emailed to you with the sender as Reply-To, so answering from your mail client just works. In the portal, Content → Inbox lists every message; mark them read or delete them.

Abuse protection is built in: a hidden honeypot field, rate limits per visitor and per site, and length caps. You do not need a CAPTCHA.

Save contact (vCard)

The share sheet on your site offers Save contact, which downloads a .vcf card with your name, headline, email, site address, social profiles and photo. Anyone can add you to their phone in one tap. It is generated from your profile; there is nothing to configure.

Tips

  • If you hide the Inbox tool in Features, messages are still stored and emailed; you just will not see the page in the sidebar.
  • Turn the contact form on before you share your site widely; scrapers harvest mailto: addresses.
