Updates
Short posts (up to 300 characters, an optional image and an optional button) for what you are working on right now.
Updates are the quick, informal side of your site: a sentence or three about what you shipped, learned or are thinking. They appear on the Updates tab and in the /updates feed page.
Post an update
- Open Publish → Updates.
- Write up to 300 characters of plain text.
- Optionally add an image and a button: a label (up to 40 characters, defaults to “Learn more”) and a URL.
- Optionally tick Email subscribers to send it to readers subscribed to Updates.
- Post.
Updates can be edited or deleted afterwards. A button without a URL is dropped.
Which plans
Updates are a plan feature; on a plan without them the tab is hidden and existing updates are kept. See Plans and what’s included.
Tips
- Updates are for the now; for anything you want people to find in a year, write a blog post.
- A running series of updates about one goal is better as a Journey, which gives it a page and a timeline of its own.
