Choose your tools
Show only the parts of the portal you use, a shorter sidebar and a calmer dashboard, without changing your public site.
Mezaic has many tools and you probably need a handful. Website → Features lets you hide the rest so the portal shows just what matters to you.
Where to find it
- During onboarding, as step 2 (“What will you use Mezaic for?”).
- Any time later under Website → Features in the sidebar, or from Settings → Portal features.
Presets
Pick a starting point, then fine-tune:
| Preset | Shows |
|---|---|
| Everything (default) | Every tool your plan includes. |
| Link in bio | Links, Spotlights, Appearance, Analytics, Domains. |
| Writer | Blog, Updates, Subscribers, Appearance, Analytics, Domains, Backups. |
| Portfolio & résumé | Links, Work experience, Education, Products, Open source, Skills, Talks, Recognition, Companies, Testimonials, Inbox, Appearance, Analytics, Domains. |
| Founder | Updates, Journeys, Subscribers, Spotlights, Links, Products, Open source, Companies, Testimonials, Inbox, Appearance, Analytics, Domains, Backups. |
Below the presets, Select all / Clear all switch everything at once, each group has All / None, and every tool has its own checkbox. Changes save automatically and the sidebar updates as you click.
What hiding a tool does and does not do
Hiding a tool:
- removes it from the sidebar (empty groups disappear);
- removes its header buttons, stat tiles, checklist items and top-links card from the dashboard;
- removes it from the Content hub and from company pickers inside forms.
Hiding a tool does not:
- change your public site; tabs stay controlled by Settings → Profile sections;
- delete anything; your links, posts and content are untouched;
- grant or remove plan features; a tool your plan lacks keeps its Pro badge in the picker.
Dashboard, Profile, Settings, Features and Billing are always visible.
Getting a hidden tool back
Open Website → Features and tick it again. If you visit a hidden page directly (for example from a link in these docs), it still works and shows a small notice with Show in sidebar. A dashed “N more tools available” row at the bottom of the sidebar also leads back to the picker.
