CV as a PDF
A print-ready résumé generated from your profile and content, always up to date, with a stable download link for your site and applications.
Mezaic turns the résumé content you already maintain into a clean A4 PDF: your name, headline and contact details, a summary from your bio, then work experience, education, skills, products, open-source projects, talks and recognition. Find it under Website → CV PDF.
You never edit the PDF itself. Change the content on your site and the next download is rebuilt from it.
What goes in
| CV section | Comes from |
|---|---|
| Name, headline, pronouns, location | Profile |
| Contact line | Your site’s address, the contact form (or your email when the form is off), and your social accounts, all clickable |
| “Open to new opportunities” | The Show availability badge switch on your Profile |
| Summary | Your bio, with formatting removed |
| Experience, Education, Skills, Products, Open source, Talks, Recognition | The matching content sections (Work experience, Education, Skills, Products, Open source, Talks, Recognition), visible items only, in the order you set |
| QR code | Links to your live site so a printed copy still leads somewhere |
Hidden items, drafts and testimonials are left out. Company names link to their websites or company pages; products and repositories link to their URLs. Section headings pick up your site’s accent colour when it is dark enough to print.
Names and text in Latin, Greek and Cyrillic scripts render fully; other scripts may show blanks in this version.
Download and share
- Download PDF on the CV page generates the file (if anything changed) and opens it. The filename is your name, e.g.
Rehmat-Alam-CV.pdf. - Show a “Download CV” button puts the file on your public site: a button next to Contact in the header and on the share sheet. Its address is always
yoursite/cv.pdf, so you can paste that link into applications and it keeps pointing at the newest version. - The button is off by default. You can download from the portal to review the PDF before switching it on.
How it stays current
Every download checks a fingerprint of everything that goes into the PDF (profile, content, settings, plan). When nothing changed, the existing file is served; when something did, a new file is rendered first. Editing ten things in a row costs one render, on the next download, not ten.
The newest five files are kept so a link you shared a moment ago still opens after a regeneration; older files are deleted automatically. The Versions list on the CV page shows them, and Regenerate forces a fresh file even when nothing changed.
Files are stored on Mezaic’s media storage and downloaded from there, like your images.
Attribution and white label
The footer of every page reads “Generated with Mezaic · mezaic.co”. On plans with white label, the same entitlement that removes the “Powered by Mezaic” badge from your site, you can switch the attribution off under Website → CV PDF → Attribution. The footer keeps your site’s address either way, so a printed CV still leads back to the live version.
If your plan later drops white label, the attribution returns on the next download; your setting is remembered.
Tips
- Write role summaries as short paragraphs or
-bullet lines; bullets are kept in the PDF. - Fill in dates and locations on roles: the PDF right-aligns dates and reads best when every entry has them.
- Keep the headline to one line: it sits directly under your name.
- Put your strongest skills first in each group; long lists wrap but the first few carry the weight.
