Create your account and first site

Signing up takes about a minute. You need an email address you can read right away.

1. Confirm your email

1. Go to mezaic.co/register and enter your email.
2. We send a 6-digit code. It is valid for 10 minutes and you get five attempts.
3. Type the code, then choose your name and a password.

Note

If the address already has an account, we email you a note saying so instead of a code. The sign-up form never reveals whether an email is registered. Use Log in or Forgot password instead.

2. Choose Personal or Blog, then name your site

Personal is selected by default. It starts with your profile and a short sidebar for links, appearance, analytics, domains and inbox. Enter the name visitors should see. Your photo, bio and social accounts can be your whole website.

If you already want a portfolio or writing tools, select Show writing and portfolio tools. Otherwise, leave it off and enable more tools later in Website → Features. Arriving from the Medium import page selects the writing tools for you.

Choose Blog for a standalone publication. Enter its publication name; you do not need a personal profile, portrait or bio. Mezaic selects useful publishing tools in the same step, so there is no second tool questionnaire.

Pick a Mezaic address, which becomes handle.mezaic.me. Use letters, numbers and hyphens; availability is checked as you type. Some names are reserved.

Later, change personal identity in Profile & bio, publication identity in Site details, and presentation in Appearance. Website → Features lets you show or hide additional portal tools. Change the handle in Website → Settings; this breaks old links, so pick something you will keep. A custom domain can be connected at any time.

Clicking Create website publishes your website immediately. You can unpublish it in Settings while you work, then publish again when you are ready to share it.

3. Set up your page

For a Personal site, continue to Profile & bio to introduce yourself and add social accounts. Importing Linktree links is optional. For a Blog, you can import Medium posts or start fresh. Imports remain available later from their respective tools; enable additional tools in Features when needed.

Here for Persona on an existing website? Keep that website where it is. Add the public facts you want Persona to know to your Mezaic site, keep it published, then choose a plan with external embedding and follow the Persona setup guide. The external host must allow custom scripts and frames; its content is not imported automatically.

What you get

• A live site at handle.mezaic.me, published by default. Add your profile or first post before sharing it, or unpublish while you set up.

• Your personal profile and up to 12 social accounts, separate from your additional Links allowance. New Personal sites start without a contact button or newsletter form; enable either if you want one.
• A dashboard with a set-up checklist. See Your dashboard.

Tips

• You can run several websites from one account (for example one for you and one for a side project). Each has its own address, content and plan; see Multiple websites.
• Password managers save the confirmed email as your username, so sign-in later is one click.

Troubleshooting

The code never arrives. Check spam, then request a new one from the same screen. Codes are limited to five per email per hour. If your company mail filters aggressively, try a personal address.

“That address is taken” or “reserved”. Handles are unique across Mezaic and a short list of names is reserved. Try a variation, such as adding your surname or a hyphen.
