Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions we get most, with links to the full guides.

General

Is Mezaic free?

Yes. The Free plan has everything you need for a complete page and stays free. Paid plans raise limits and add tools such as custom domains. See Plans and what’s included.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Everything is done through forms in the portal. Markdown is used for writing, and the cheatsheet covers all of it.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on plans that include custom domains. One DNS record and a few minutes: Custom domains.

Can I have more than one site?

Yes. One account can own several websites, each with its own plan. See Multiple websites.

Is there an app?

The portal works in any modern browser, including on phones. There is no separate app to install.

Your page

Can I make a simple personal page with just my bio and social accounts?

Yes. Personal is the default when you create a website. Add your name, photo, bio and social accounts in Profile & bio, choose a look in Appearance, then share your page. A blog, résumé, contact button or subscription form is optional. Enable more tools later in Website → Features.

Yes. Every plan includes up to 12 social accounts, including Free. Social accounts have their own allowance and do not use your additional Links limit. Use Custom for a network that is not listed. See Social accounts.

Turn on Links as landing tab on the Links page. See Links hub.

Can I hide the “Powered by Mezaic” badge?

On plans that include badge removal, switch it off under Settings → Preferences.

Why is a tab missing from my site?

Tabs appear only when they have content, and only when enabled under Settings → Profile sections. A tool your plan does not include is hidden too.

Yes, if they shared it with you. Ask them to add the email you sign in with to the profile’s invite list; the company then appears under Shared with you in the role form. Profiles opened to anyone on Mezaic can be found with Find a company shared on Mezaic. Pick it and your entry links to their company page and stays in sync. If the page has a People section you can ask to be listed on it. See Companies.

Can I change my address later?

Yes, under Settings → Address, but old links break. Connecting a custom domain is the safer way to get a nicer address.

Mezaic Persona (AI)

Can visitors ask my site questions?

On plans that include it, yes. Switch on Mezaic Persona under Website → Persona. It uses your published Mezaic content and Persona notes to answer in your chosen tone and reports questions your content does not cover. It is presented as AI, and visitors should verify important details with you.

Can I add Persona to my existing website without moving it?

Yes, on a plan with Persona on external websites. Keep your existing host and add the supplied snippet where it supports custom scripts and frames. Persona still needs a published Mezaic site as its source; embedding does not require moving your domain or changing DNS. See embedding setup.

Can I use the same Persona on several websites?

Yes. Approve up to ten exact HTTPS origins; example.com and www.example.com count separately. They share the Persona from one Mezaic website, including its notes, monthly allowance, feedback and Recent chats. You do not need a separate Persona subscription for each approved origin. See plans.

Will Persona learn from the website where I embed it?

It does not automatically crawl or read that website. Publish the facts you want it to use on your Mezaic site or add them to Persona notes. Treat those notes as public because the AI can use them in answers.

Does the AI tell visitors it is an AI?

Yes, always. The button says “Ask my AI Persona”, the chat header carries an “AI · answers from this site” line, the greeting introduces it as an AI, and a footer notes that it can be wrong. If asked, it answers “I’m Yourname’s Persona, an AI that answers from this site.” It never pretends to be you typing live.

How does the AI know whether I’m available for work?

From the Show availability badge switch on your Profile. On, it says you are available and invites the visitor to get in touch; off, it says you are not taking on new work at the moment but that a message is welcome. See Availability.

What does the AI cost me?

Nothing beyond your plan. Your Mezaic site’s Persona and its approved external embeds share one monthly token allowance; when it is used up, replies pause until the first of the next month. The Persona page shows usage and the next reset. See allowance and cost.

Writing and email

Can I schedule posts?

Yes. Set a date and time under Publishing in the editor. See Blog.

Do you send my newsletter?

Yes. When you publish something with Email subscribers ticked, the readers who subscribed to that topic get an email branded as yours (your name, avatar and site), with replies going to you. See Subscribers.

Can I import my Medium posts?

Yes, from Medium’s export ZIP: Switching from Medium.

Meeting bookings

Can visitors book a meeting from my website?

Yes. Enable Bookings in Features, then use Audience → Bookings to connect Google Calendar, choose where meetings are saved, and set your hours. Bookings stay off until you enable the page and save. Guests verify their email without creating a Mezaic account. See Meeting bookings.

Will guests see my other calendar events?

No. Guests see available times. You choose the calendars Mezaic checks for conflicts and the calendar where it saves meetings. See Calendar access and your control.

Does proposing a new time in Google Calendar reschedule the Mezaic booking?

Only after the organizer saves the actual event change in Google Calendar. Mezaic does not manage Google proposals or treat invitation responses as booking cancellations. Saved calendar changes usually appear within about five minutes, with longer delays possible. Guests can use their private Mezaic management link to choose another available time. See Google invitations and calendar edits.

Domains

The Domains page says “Not pointing at Mezaic yet”. What now?

Usually the Cloudflare proxy is on or an old parking record is still there. The fixes are in Custom domains → Troubleshooting.

How long does DNS take?

From a minute to a few hours, depending on your provider and the old record’s time-to-live. Mezaic re-checks every five minutes.

Billing

What happens if I downgrade and I am over the new limits?

You keep the paid plan until the period ends. After that, if the site still exceeds the new limits, it is paused until it fits or you resubscribe. Nothing is deleted. See Upgrade, downgrade and overages.

Where are my invoices?

Plan & billing → Payment method & invoices opens the Stripe billing portal. See Payments, receipts and invoices.

Can I get a refund?

Contact support with your site address and invoice, or email support@mezaic.co. We handle refunds case by case.

Data

Can I export everything?

You can export your website content as a ZIP with images or a JSON file: Backups, export and import. Website exports do not include Google credentials, private booking management tokens or booking history. Contact support for a booking-data request.

Do you use cookies on my site?

No. Analytics is measured on the server without cookies and without storing IP addresses. See Privacy and your data.

Still stuck?

Use our contact form or email support@mezaic.co. Include your site address and, for domain problems, the exact message you see. You can attach screenshots if you email us.
