Write with a blog team
Invite writers and editors, review drafts, and give each article its own author credit.
Work with other Mezaic users on your blog without sharing your password. Your collaborators keep their own accounts and websites; the shared blog appears in their website switcher.
Invite a collaborator
- Select the blog you own and open Blog team in the sidebar.
- Enter the collaborator’s Mezaic account email and choose Writer or Editor.
- The collaborator opens Team invitations in their account, signs in with the invited account, and accepts. Their email must be verified. Invitations expire after seven days.
When email delivery is configured, Mezaic also sends an invitation notification. Invitations remain available inside the account if email is unavailable. This release supports existing Mezaic accounts; someone new should register first.
Choose the right role
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Manage the team, all blog posts, the website, settings and billing. |
| Writer | Create posts, upload article images, edit their own drafts, and submit them for review. Their published or scheduled posts are read-only. |
| Editor | Read and edit all blog posts, review submissions, publish and schedule articles, and choose an author. |
Collaborators cannot access billing, domains, bookings, subscriber lists, backups, other website content, or team administration. Website imports remain owner-only.
Review and publish
A writer selects Submit for review when a draft is ready. Owners and editors find submitted articles in the blog’s In review filter. They can edit, publish, schedule, or return the article to a draft.
Articles use version checks. If somebody saves a newer version while you are editing, Mezaic stops your save and keeps your local text. Copy any changes you want to keep before loading the latest version. There is no simultaneous live document editing.
Author credit
When accepting an invitation, choose a public author name and optionally one of your own public Mezaic websites. Mezaic uses the public name, profile link and visible profile details for article credit. Your account email is never used as a public byline.
Each article has one author. The owner or an editor can choose an active team member as the author. Author information is saved with the article, so removing a collaborator does not erase their credit. Changes to your team author profile apply to future author assignments. The publication’s Show author setting still controls whether bylines appear on a blog-style website.
Seats and removing access
The blog’s plan determines whether teams are enabled and how many collaborators it allows. The owner does not use a seat. Accepted members and unexpired invitations each reserve one seat. A collaborator’s personal plan does not affect the shared blog’s limits.
The owner can cancel invitations, change roles, or remove members from Blog team. Removed members lose access; their articles remain with the blog. Existing scheduled posts stay scheduled and remain under the owner’s control.
If the plan no longer includes teams, collaborator access pauses. If a new limit is below the number of accepted members, the owner can remove members until the team fits. These changes do not delete articles, erase attribution, or take the public blog offline just because of its team size.
